Hi jamie,

I attempted to use this script, but it didn't work. Here's all of the output I get

0 ross@virilio:~/testing/vserver$ ./vlaunch rhizome start /home/ross/ISOs/debian.iso
rhizome0: tap vnet_hdr user 1000
virbr0 8000.02111a92c03b no rhizome0
[screen is terminating]
0 ross@virilio:~/testing/vserver$

I'm not sure how to intervene in this script to get virtualization to work correctly.

~/ross

Made modification for better debugginghttp://current.workingdirectory.net/posts/2012/managing-kvm/comment_2_jamie/jamie2012-09-13T12:59:43Z2012-09-13T08:54:56Z

Hi Ross,

Thanks for the testing. I can't tell what's wrong (and that's a weakness of this script). I can see that the problem is with the kvm command, but since it's being executed via screen, the error is not showing up.

I just updated the script to provide a debugging option. Can rerun as:

./vlaunch rhizome show /home/ross/ISOs/debian.iso

It should output the command it would run (without screen). Then, run the output by hand (copy and paste the output into your terminal) and let's see if we get a more useful error.
